Our brand is a mixture of tangible and intangible elements that help the people we engage with to instantly recognise who we are and to form an emotional connection with us. It is our brand that gives us the direction on how we present ourselves and ensures that we have clarity and consistency in our messaging and visual identity.

The British Council brand is the combination of a number of different elements: our brand positioning, a recognisable tone of voice, and a strong visual identity. It is only when we deliver these elements together, through all of our communications, environments and behaviours, and in accordance with our guidelines, that we deliver a truly powerful brand that is of value to our network around the globe.
